Artmatem Projects and Tradings (Pty) Ltd is a private company, 100% black-owned and legally registered in the Republic of South Africa. Our mission is to ensure that South Africans are provided with home-brewed books which are of high quality. We envision South Africans waking up every day in a place where there is freedom of expression and where people have access to books that are rich in local content. Artmatem aims to promote a culture of reading in South Africa, thereby eliminating illiteracy in communities. We also provide much needed and relevant information using cartoons and illustrations and want to encourage a better understanding of cartoons, graphic design and animations. Artmatem strives to empower emerging artists by giving them a platform to be heard and by publishing their books and making sure that they are adequately marketed.
